Constitutional Law (Public) is concerned with the system of government of the country: how governmental power is apportioned; how those entrusted with such powers are appointed and the extent to which their powers can be held in check. Administrative Law is a 'variant' of this, concentrating on the control of governmental powers in the courts.
Because the creation, enforcement and application of laws are important powers in themselves, Constitutional Law may be said to be one of the 'fundamental' law subjects.

Criminal Law is concerned with a range of wrongs. If convicted the accused may lose their liberty and as such any decision to prosecute must not be taken lightly. But criminal law is more than just police, courts and prisons - criminal law is concerned with fear, revenge, desperation,pity, lust and so much more ...
Contract law is concerned with agreements which give rise to legally binding obligations. For example we agree that I will buy your bag for £12. I am obliged to pay the money and you are obliged to hand over the bag. Many people believe that for a contract to be legally binding it must be in writing but this is not so. There are 4 ways in which a contract may arise:
